Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information YuCirva collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and collect only what we need to run a safe friendship app.

1. What we collect

• From Google sign-in: your name, email address and Google account ID. We never see your Google password.
• Your profile: display name, date of birth, area, gender (optional), who you'd like to see, interests, free times, distance setting and a short bio if you add one.
• Verification: that our team checked your ID, the method used, an internal case reference and the result. We do not keep a copy of your ID in YuCirva.
• What you do on YuCirva: connection requests, connections, circles you host or join, meeting points of circles you're accepted into, messages, blocks and reports.
• Payments: the plan, amount, date and Razorpay's payment reference. Your card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay. We never see or store them.
• Website forms: the name, email, phone (optional), area and interests you enter in the waitlist or contact form.
• On your device: your login session, theme choice and any unfinished circle draft, saved in your browser.

2. Why we use it

• to create your account, check your age and identity, and keep YuCirva for real adults 21+;
• to suggest people and circles near you who share your interests;
• to deliver messages and run circles;
• to keep members safe: reviewing reports, blocking, and pausing accounts that break our rules;
• to process Premium payments and keep payment records required by law;
• to tell our team about new sign-ups, circles to review and safety reports;
• to reply when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads.

3. What other members see

Verified members who match with you can see your display name, area, approximate distance, shared interests and free times. Your bio is shown to hosts and to people you connect with. Your date of birth, email and ID details are never shown to other members. A circle's meeting point is shown only to its host and accepted members.

4. Who we share it with

We use trusted services to run YuCirva. They process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase: database and login (servers in Tokyo, Japan);
• Google: sign-in;
• Cloudflare: website hosting;
• Razorpay: payments;
• Resend: sending our team's alert emails.

We may share information if the law requires it, or with the police when someone's safety is at serious risk.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, connections and messages, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records) or to handle an open safety report. Those are kept only as long as needed.

6. Your rights

You can see and correct your profile at any time. From your Profile you can ask for a copy of your data or deletion of your account. You can also withdraw your consent by deleting your account. To raise a concern, contact our grievance contact below. We aim to reply within 7 days.

7. Security

Your data is protected by access rules in our database, so members can only see what this policy allows. Staff access is limited to the team members who need it, and admin actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your Google account safe.

8. Age

YuCirva is only for adults aged 21 and over. If we learn that someone under 21 has an account, we will remove it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you in the app or by email first.
